Mosquitoes are one of the most dangerous insects in the world. As a water-born insect, it will breed where ever there is standing water. This means if you have a birdbath or any kind of standing, untreated, unchlorinated water on your property it will become a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are not a destructive pest, they will not damage anything, they are exclusively a risk to humans and animals. The danger comes from their ability to drink blood from more than one creature. They can draw blood from a sewer rat and then find a human to finish off its day. Everything that was in the sewer rats’ blood will now be mixed with yours. The results can be anything from sepsis to West Nile Virus. While it is unlikely to get that specific virus here is a list of the illnesses you can get from a mosquito drinking your blood:
malaria, dengue fever, West Nile virus, chikungunya, yellow fever, filariasis, tularemia, dirofilariasis, Japanese encephalitis, Saint Louis encephalitis, Western equine encephalitis, Eastern equine encephalitis, Venezuelan equine encephalitis, Ross River fever, Barmah Forest fever, La Crosse encephalitis, and Zika fever, as well as a new virus transmitted by mosquitos called Keystone virus and Rift Valley fever.
Clearly, these insects are too dangerous to have around your property. If you do have still water you must eliminate every drop of it. While highly effective you cannot control what water sources are on other people’s properties or naturally occurring sources of still water near your property. So if this is the case there is a high-end device that will cost you a lot of money but will be shockingly effective at killing every mosquito on your property with little effort and time spent. This is most important if you have children on your property, children do not do well with severe illnesses.
The device is called an electric mosquito fogger backpack. Other names for it are an atomizer which uses charged particles to separate material into an atomic-sized spray. It is also called a duster in some cases because it uses said atomized dust to kill mosquitoes rapidly. You simply aim it at a swarm and click the trigger and they will die en masse. This can be the most effective way of dealing with them instead of pulling out the tiki torches or hooking up an electric bug zapper that will stay in one place and not be able to chase the mosquitoes down with atomized pesticide. The mosquito fogger is by far the best choice to keep your family safe when you have an uncontrollable source of still water on or near your property.
The UN has made note of a new device that could end the mosquito species permanently and it is a very ingenious device. The device or devices are tiny drones that fly around looking for mosquitos. When it finds males it uses radiation to sterilize the males. When the males mate with females they cannot impregnate them and over time the mosquito population will drop dramatically or even vanish entirely.
